It's too late, she's already gone
the person you thought would always be there.
The one whose heart you thought you'd won
but you don't show her that you care.
Now she is out of your life
never to come back again.
She wanted to stay by your side
but it's too hard for her to just be your friend.
She stayed around for sooo long;
she was trying to protect you.
She knows- with her is where you belong
but now she has to forget you.
Emotionally she is just too drained;
she can't handle it anymore.
She thought things would change
but it's all the same as before.
She wants to be with you
and loves you with all her heart.
There are too many things you just wouldn't do
and now she has fallen apart.
She tried so hard to make you see
how much you mean to her.
But nothing she does makes you happy
and it's really starting to hurt.
She was your lover and your best friend
someone who was always there for you.
But now that friendship has to end
though she wishes it weren't true.
You tell her nothing is wrong
that you just need some time alone.
But it's too much for her to hold on
so, now she's leaving you on your own.
It's much too late for her to cry;
it's so hard for her to say, "it's over."
But now she's got to pass you by
she couldn't wait for you- forever.
